Eye-catching

After my three years of photographing quite innovative architecture in Riyadh and the Gulf, I can’t say I’m too impressed with the new buildings I see in Washington. They’re not necessarily ugly; they’re just boxy with a few distinguishing features tacked on. This is one building that did catch my eye on Mass. Ave., still under construction. I don’t usually like to leave pictures this distorted, but it seemed appropriate for the lines of this building.

fine shot...they have tried to liven up the box a bit with that protruding front section..

I'm glad there are at least some buildings that measure up to your elevated standards after impressive Riyadh!

Still looking good, smaller and not a costing a fortune beyond imagination.

I think some architecture lends itself to distortion and this is definitely one of those buildings.
