We went to the National Gallery to see a temporary exhibit of Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” because the Munch Museum was closed for renovations. Unfortunately most of the National Gallery was closed, too, due to preparations for an upcoming Munch exhibit.
I don’t know exactly what I photographed here, whether it was a study or an original of one of the four versions of this 1893 Impressionist work of art held by the gallery. It doesn’t really seem like how such a famous painting would be preserved, yet close up it looks old and I can see paint texture on it. Not signed, though.
