Wadi Hanifa: Gate and cactus lights

We drove quite a ways into Wadi Hanifa, which is 120 kilometers long and runs through the city of Riyadh. There were some large properties with houses in the beginning, but the further we went, the sparser civilization got, although there seemed to be a lot construction going on in the middle of nowhere.

The gate to another large property in the wadi. The lamp posts on either side look like some kind of odd cactus shape, but hard to tell even from the original because the pictures from this camera are often not sharp.

Gate to nowhere, posted earlier:

Within those walls it looks a well-treed property. The gardens must be vast and I imagine the houses too, though the walls certainly deflect any attempts to see them! Fabulous shot. V

They do like their walls, but there are plenty of trees in their garden.
