After leaving Ait Benhaddou, we had to cross the High Atlas Mountains to get to Marrakech. The scenery was spectacular, but oddly enough I don’t have many pictures from that crossing. Maybe because we just couldn’t pull over on those narrow mountain roads. We did, however, stop for coffee at some restaurant and asked if they had any ice for Tim’s foot, which was swelling quite seriously by that time. They didn’t, but they gave us a big package of frozen brochettes for him. They wouldn’t even take any money for it. Simply amazing how kind the Moroccans could be.
