Souvenir way

I find it sort of sad that what used to house a tightly knit, extended-family community is now really one big souvenir market. I imagine there were nicer and more interesting parts of the ksar that we couldn’t get to because of Tim’s broken foot, but what I did manage to see was a bit disappointing.

It's quite a display of wares and I wonder if the people make a living this way.
I'm always disappointed when beautiful places become total tourist traps.

I would not expect such souvenir displays in a street like this one. Great photo.

Even if it touristy, it is a great scene. Love the colors. V

Not a green plant in sight. A snapshot of an entirely other world.

It's just wonderful how these people live without the trappings of modern life. Such a simple scene of everyday life. V

You still managed to climb up a bit to get a few nice shots. Did Tim stay at the bottom?
