The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, who ruled Morocco from 1672 to 1727, was built in the 17th century. It was a beautiful complex both inside and out, with its several courtyards, burial chamber, ablutions room, fountain and marvelous tile work and doors.
This man was out in front trying to get people take his picture, for a fee. I don’t normally like such things, but his costume was over the top and he was quite engaging, so I relented and gave him a few coins, and this is what I got. I sure thought his shoes and socks were interesting with that getup!
