The Kasbah, mosque

We spent a fair amount of time walking around the Rabat Kasbah, a neighborhood built around a fortress, which was just fascinating. Like Chefchaouen, some of it was painted in blue (but not nearly as much).

This was the oldest mosque in the Kasbah, if I recall correctly.

The detail is lovely. Interesting contrast between the ornate stairs and the simple door.

This does look ancient, yet the stairs look modern (and very attractive) - nicely captured Helen V

The door is wonderful. It certainly looks old in this very fine shot. V

Very lovely door, but sad that non muslims may not enter to visit.
