Essaouira has a huge and very lively fishing port, along with a fish market, dry dock and boatbuilding facility. The fishermen throw a lot of fish like mackerel to the seagulls, who also congregate around the fish cleaning men. There was plenty for all these gulls, but two of them were having a fight over that one piece, which must have been quite delectable.
We’re leaving for the long drive to Casablanca, so I’ll have to catch up in the evening, as always assuming I have a viable Internet connection, which is pretty iffy in this country.
