Sumhuram Archeological Gallery

We drove to Khor Rouri, which hosts the Sumhuram Archeological Site, where a thriving center of the frankincense trade was located 2,000 years ago. The ruins were interesting, but the museum was closed – the guards told us “no electricity,” although we didn’t know if that meant they just hadn’t turned on the lights yet, or if they had no power.

In any case I thought the building was interesting – traditional desert architecture (usually mud brick) but built in stone.

Too bad you didn't get a chance to go inside. From the outside of this lovely building it all looks news, so who knows what the power problem was! V
