We ran into a lot of wildlife on the drive to and from the tomb of the Prophet Job – camels, cows and goats. My favorite of course was the camels, although they were a bit shy and not as friendly as their Saudi brethren. This group was munching on frankincense trees along the road.
The landscape in the southern part of Oman was quite different from what we had seen in the north – not mountainous, with beautiful rolling hills and large wadis. This part of the country also has a monsoon season in June, which I read makes it seem almost subtropical and a world apart from the rest of Oman.
