This is a photo a friend of mine sent from her iPhone of the presentation of a gift to Tim and myself at a private home in Riyadh. This beautiful box contained perfumes for both men and women in lovely crystal bottles and some Arabian oud (incense). To say I was pleased but feeling a bit embarrassed for not having brought a gift myself would be an understatement. I must say that I have found the Saudis to be incredibly hospitable and gracious people and delightful hosts, and this day was just one more indication of that.
