Børsen

The Børsen is the former stock exchange and was built between 1540 and 1640. Today it houses the Chamber of Commerce and is not open to the public. The spire (54 meters, 177 feet) was carved to resemble the entwined tails of four dragons and is a Copenhagen landmark, topped with the crowns of Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

I just thought this was the coolest spire, but it was a challenge finding it in sunlight.

A full view of the building posted earlier this evening:

Perfectly captured. What a wonderful spire. Both images are excellent. I prefer the top but one does also need to see the whole building. V

Such a fanciful and enchanting building. Really, it makes one smile just to see it. We need more 'happy' buildings like this!! V
