Fun sculptures

These interesting creatures were in front of the Rådhus, or City Hall, and were a big attraction for tourist photos. In the background is the Palace Hotel and the changeable weather.

When I was there, it looked a bit different, more open. I can tell you a story about the 2 hornblowers that you can see on the right on that columm. They are called the Lurenblowers, luren is the name of the horn they blow. A legend says that everytime a virgin passes by, they blow their horns. Now the last decades it has been rather quite!
