I can’t find the reference on this at the moment, but my understanding was that this used to be a famous hotel, but was converted into a department store (which we did enter, very nondescript and none of the old accents left). There is another hotel in Copenhagen called Hotel du Nord, which is old, so not sure what the real story is.
