We waited until our last afternoon in Iceland to see Reykjavík, which was unfortunate since I think it seems like a very nice city. We were staying there with friends, but really used that more as a base to travel around the country rather than as an opportunity to see the city itself. In any case, I have very few pictures of the city that I like, except a few from Harpa, the beautiful performing arts center, where we spent most of our remaining time. I’m posting a few of the others just to give a sense of what it was like.
There are some old residential neighborhoods in Reykjavík, some of which we drove through (over and over since we got lost). One was pedestrians only, which would have been interesting to see, but we were just running out of time. This image was shot from the car.
