About halfway through the long drive back to Reykjavík from Höfn the weather miraculously cleared up – sunshine and blue sky! -- although the wind never did let up. Once again I was fascinated by the amazing volcanic scenery passing me by, so this will be a series of images from that ride.

I’m including this one because Tim went through so much trouble for me to get it. We passed it by, but I couldn’t get the unusual rock formations out of my mind, so he had to turn around way down the road (onto a steep gravel path), come all the way back, turn around again, and stop. This is how our trip frequently went!
