One finds fancy dresses similar to these everywhere, but I can’t for the life of me understand where women wear them here. I actually bought a glamorous dress, like an elaborate kaftan, but haven’t figured out yet where I’ll wear it, either.

This souk was definitely not an easy place to take pictures – a lot of locals, merchants everywhere, just a normal market that’s not a tourist attraction (so if you pull out a camera, you immediately attract attention). As a result I didn’t take many pictures, just of a few things that caught my eye for being different, like this one.
