Al-'Ula oasis

Al-‘Ula has been an oasis from time immemorial. The wide swaths of green one sees of both date palms and cultivated land are quite amazing against the desert landscape.

BTW I have had almost no Internet at my house today, and no idea when, or even if, it can be fixed. There seems to be nobody able to help when I call the service number. The embassy has arranged for me to use an empty house for work, but when I don’t work at home, my Favorites page is blocked by the censors here (not a clue why). Anyway, I’ll keep up when I can!

Another picture of the oasis, both shot from the bus:

Amazing image. Just shows take the desert and add some water, you get an oasis. Superb image, Helen. V. Good luck getting back on line.
