Intricacy

I’m going to end this sub-gallery on the museum here, until we return to Jeddah, hopefully soon! Thanks for all the support for it – I’m just pleased I was able to share images of a spectacular building, the likes of which I haven’t seen any place else in Saudi Arabia.

I may get a bit behind on commenting because I’m going to a huge annual cultural festival in Riyadh both today and tomorrow. I hope to get some good pictures, although much of it will be after dark so I guess we’ll have to see. I am told that photography is permitted, so am lugging along the D800 as well as one small Sony, which is always a challenge without my husband to carry what I’m not using at the moment (and that D800 plus 24-70 lens is quite heavy ;-)).

I can only imagine what a backbreaker the D800 + 24-70 is. I've been enjoying your Sony shots...and I'll bet you've enjoyed the lack of weight. Sometimes a bit of image quality compromise ( and in the case of good light - there doesn't seem to be much compromise) helps the enjoyment of the overall experience! I'm not ready to give up my dslr equipment but I find myself using it less and less because of the weight.
