On our first trip out of the Diplomatic Quarter, we passed by this building and the driver said it was the "Saudi Parliament." Great, I thought, impressive building! So a week later, we found a lookout in the DQ from which I got a good view and was ready to post the picture when I decided maybe I’d look it up to get some information to link to. Much to my surprise, the Consultative Assembly (Majlis as-Shura) building didn’t look anything like this!

It turns out that this is a conference center, and the Shura building is the dome to the left of it.
