This well with windows on all six floors and a skylight at the top ran the entire height of the building from basement to roof and was intended to give every floor maximum light. Gaudí was inspired by the depths of the ocean and used graduated shades of blue for the tiles lining it, with the lightest on the first floor and darkest at the top.
