Veit Stoss altar (1477-1489), detail

This magnificent altar was created between 1477 and 1489 by Veit Stoss and is the centerpiece of St. Mary's Church. It measures 11 by 13 meters and was higher originally.

From top to bottom portrayed are: the resurrection, the ascension and Pentecost.
