We just ran across this church in the middle of a tourist street and it was open, amazingly enough as churches are usually closed here except for services.
Apparently it was built in 1230, destroyed by the Ottomans in 1541, rebuilt in 1701 and renovated in 1964-68. Actually, judging from the condition of the ceiling, a lot of restoration still needs to be done. Some old pictures of the church: http://szentmihalytemplom.hu/galeria/catid,20/
