Portland, OR
This building with the moonshine jug shape is a long-standing landmark in Portland. Originally built in 1928 as a tire shop and repair garage, the mouth of the jug is corked with an eight ball. Over the decades, the jug has contained assorted businesses, including a popular luncheonette and soda shop, and was called the Sandy Jug. For the last few it's been a nude strip club, the windows paneled shut, outside painted blue, then a bright pink, and now a brown better suiting a ceramic jug. The strip club was originally named the Pirate's Cove, but the name was recently reverted back to the Sandy Jug.
