Copalis State Beach Airport

Copalis Beach, WA

The only beach airport in the lower 48 states. Small planes land right on the sand. The "facilities" consist of a wind sock and a sign identifying the place. There is no access to the road or place to park your plane overnight, so aerial visitors must just stop by for the day to enjoy the beach. Nearby are the Copalis River and Copalis Rock, a small, isolated sea stack rock.
