Birds at the Bay of Fundy (5 photos)

Bald Eagle - late one evening this eagle landed on the rocks in front of the cottage. Its mate was
down on the other side of the rock out of sight and eating a fish. Crows had been harassing it and this one had come to keep them away.

Song Sparrows were everywhere and this youngster was pretending to be a rock on our beach while I
photographed it.

Lots of male Eider Ducks were in our cove. Usually they floated in large rafts far from shore. There was only the occasional female around.

Then a trip to St Andrews where the shoreline was sandy and shallow showed where all the female Eider Ducks and babies were.

As we stood on the pier the whole flotilla of female and young Eider Ducks swam underneath.

An excellent series of images of of various birds encountered Linda. Like some of the others, I too really like the bottom one. A great top-view POV of them in the greenish water.

What a great selection of birds. Great captures of each, especially the flotilla of eiders.

What a wonderful series of photographs. You saw a lot of different birds that we don't have here. The overview of the ducklings is fabulous! Thank you!

Very nice series, Linda. The "warm/fuzzy" side of me loves the bottom image! I've never seen a male Eider. Beautiful.
