This is not a cathedral, but rather the St Johns' Augustines parish church,
Unique in the Dublin area with the use of two colours of stone - Grey and red Portland stone built around about 1825 to 1850. At that time due to changes in the freedom to Roman Catholics to practice - Openly- The church took on a massive building programme. This period also included The Great Famine of 1845 to1847.
