There is a quarter mile walk from the finish line on Riverview Road back across this field to the tents and Special Events barn. You collect your medal and shed your chip: no helpers to remove them for you. Fortunately there were folding chairs to prop your foot on, otherwise I may never have gotten back up if forced to sit down and take off the chip.
