All the pictures of Bixby Bridge make it seem incredibly long, but when you get there it seems much shorter. On the other hand, the time it took to get from the 13 mile mark on one side to the 13.1 mark on the other indicates that it is likely a quarter mile between the two marks instead of just a tenth.
