This South Louisiana crypt was designed for regular visits from the widower. As you can see the crypt was vented at one end with a grate but that end has eroded and collapsed.

According to the groundskeeper:
The widower would enter this crypt daily and sit in a chair next to his wife's coffin. When the widower passed away the wife’s coffin was removed and the couple were interred together in a different location.
