Nice 2001 Saturn L300 Wagon. Great power, Reasonable mileage. Funky electrical, but wait, after we paid for its repair, the decided it was a recall. Perhaps they'll give us some money back?

Meanwhile, they shut down two Saturn dealerships we counted on and never built the third one which still has the sign "coming in 2004". This would have been ten miles from us. So we have to drive an hour one way to visit the dealership now.
We needed an oxygen sensor but it could not be diagnosed except at a Saturn dealer. What a pain!
The car stranded Sally and Katy three times this past summer because of this intermittent dealer-can-only-diagnose-problem. Since the nearest dealer is so far from us now, we traded the car for a Pontiac and will never look back. Except to see if the recall gets us any money back!
The motto here, do not buy an automobile that you cannot easily get serviced. More importantly, do not rely on such a vehicle. Buy something from a dealership near you.
Now to go off for groceries in my Corvair!
