"Celebration of Cultures" A World Culture Fair is held bi-annually in Willmar, Minnesota to honor the cultures of the population of Willmar and the surrounding area. Suprisingly West-Central Minnesota is composed of a wide variety of folks from all over the world. Countries represented include Argentina, Boliva, Cameroon, Chile, Dakota Nation, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Ireland, Leach Lake Band of Ojibwa, Mexico, Norway, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Scotland, Senegal, Somalia, Sweden and Wales. (Curiously absent in representation was China and Germany as we have a lot of folks from both.) This young lady was representing folks in the Willmar area originally from Somalia.
