Ottawa West

This rare stay-over has been hanging around for over a month now. I think it missed the bus south in November. We have a cold-spell and lots of snow forecast for this weekend (Jan. 18-20), which I hope it survives as well as the rest of the winter.

Looks like there are plenty of berries for him to enjoy. Hope he makes it too.

He's in a nice perch and hope he can get through your winter! A fine sharp shot, Hank. V

Oh, poor thing. It is so unusual to have this bird here in winter. I really hope it can survive our coming cold and snow. I'd think as long as there is food he should be OK, and I see he is eating buckthorn fruit of which there is a lot around.

Nice shot, Hank. Do you normally have these in the winter?
