20110606 - 1 229 SERIES - Mute Swans.jpg

Presqu'ile Point

Four images of Mute Swans and their young in various scenes from beautiful bright sunshine to the north, then enveloped in mist blowing in suddenly from Lake Ontario to the south, then with the mist dissipating almost as quickly as it appeared. Finally, with the mist gone again, a close-up shot of the Swans swimming amongst the lily pads towards us with all, except one errant cygnet lining up behind Mom.

Top image: Looking towards the south-west of the boardwalk with the Swans swimming in the distance.

Swans foraging for food in the distance as the mist suddenly approaches.

Swans swimming towards us as the mist dissipates behind them.

The Swans swimming towards us through the lily pads.

Great souvenir for us. We have been going to that park every year for the last 25 years. Swans began to appear in the park, if I remember, after year 2000. They were still rare before 2000. We has good shots of the swans two years ago.
Great serie.
