One image of a Merlin. From the reddish stain on its belly feathers, it is obvious that it had just finished lunch. I and several others had been stalking this particular Merlin for some considerable time. It now found us. Whilst we were looking the other way shooting small birds, it landed in a tree directly behind us and started preening and doing some housekeeping chores. It was quite content to let us take quite a number of shots before finally flying off.
