Two consecutive images: Whilst looking for the Pileated Woodpeckers, I came across this Cooper's hawk. It took off almost immediately, but not before I managed a couple of "Oops" flight shots. I haven't seen it since that first day.

Hard to catch these guys if they are surprised on their perch. Great display of the adult feathers underwing and love the way he has tucked up his talons.
