This little Barn Swallow was probably a straggler as most Swallows seem to have departed South. Three of us were shooting shorebirds along the dike at Shirley's bay when this Swallow came flying and darting along the dike. One of my friends said, " I wish it would sit down for a minute so we can get a shot". No sooner said and the Swallow perched itself on a rock only about 3 meters (10 feet) from us. I actually had to back up to get my shots.
In the above image, I'm getting an earful. Perhaps it thinks I'm its Mommy and it wants some grub.
