Also, linked below is a video and a short note from the Martin Bander. This person, Peter, has been banding the Martins for over eight years. He also built the bird houses. The video was taken by a mutual friend, also a bird photographer named Chris Bruce. The video is well worth seeing if you are interested in the banding process. It shows the entire process and includes images of the young at the various ages from just hatched to ready to fly.

My friend Chris Bruce send me video from Purple Martin banding session @ Nepean Sailing Club. So far we've banded 372 babies and there are few more to go. Biggest number of birds ever!
