M.S. Hendrick modified Maynard in .32-35, 30 inch barrel and full length telescope which is believed to have been made by Hendrick. Hendrick was a gunsmith from 1905 through 1911 and from 1912 through 1929 listed his occupation as machinist and pattern maker. We are not clear at this time if he accomplished the stock work and checkering, some sources state that he had workmen that did the wood work. He was an accomplished rifleman and is frequently commented on in local newspapers of the time.
It is unknown to me at this time why he changed the spelling of his name from Hendrick to Hendricks.
