Brown Ballard Sporting Model In .44RF

This 1869-1873 John Hamilton Brown configured Ballard rifle is in .44RF caliber in a sporting model configuration. When the rim-fire ammunition was expended, a touch hole could be punched in the center of the case, the case reloaded with powder and lead, and fired via the percussion nipple - an actual sporting rifle of dual ignition capability. The barrel is 22 inches long and weight is 6 pounds.
