alan at home

The surgery went well. We had one minor glitch after getting back home that necessitated a 4:00 AM run back to the emergency room. Everyday Alan is getting stronger. I still am finding very little time to comment on other's photos, and to take and post my images. Hopefully soon everything will be back to normal. Alan is doing PT and won't need the walker for long it is just adding stability for now. He has to wear the brace for 6 - 8 weeks so he does not twist or bend the spine while the bone graft is healing.

I wish your husband a speedy recovery...though realistically that of course is not possible, but a day at a time improvement is what is best. Cheers to you both !

A good presentation - somehow I always find these kind of shots hard to do so that they don't look to sterile - somehow medical paraphanelia always gets in the way of the human for me. This has a human feel to it...

Nice to know that Alan is home and all the worse part of the matter belongs to the past now.
Best wishes to both of you

It's good to hear that Alan is getting better. These things always take their time and there's no point in trying to rush the recovery, because then it usually ends up taking longer...
From the photos it looks like the worse times are gone and he sure looks "rosy" healthy to me ;)
All the best for both of you.
