Whooping cranes

Necedah, WI

Birds in training to follow the ultralight. This was in a different area, across the lake from our blind. We were in the blind for about 30-45 minutes to observe the chicks being trained. Unfortunately there were not many good photography opportunities, as there was only one hole in the mesh where photos could be taken. Each person had to wait their turn. It is a restricted area so a ranger had to take us to the blind. They are very strict about noise levels and making sure that the cranes are not disturbed.

I'm lost how photographers post a noise level risk when there is a 2 stroke ultra light flying around making more noise than anything around!!!! Great pics!!
