Fort Desoto is a huge park, tons of birds around (and people). This nest was blocked off by netting to prevent people from setting up their picnic right under it. There were several photographers and birdwatchers observing it, and people kept coming over to see what the big deal was. Most though the owls were very cool, except for one shirtless slob who came over and declared: "It's just an owl, who cares?" I think those owls will contribute more to the planet than that waste of oxygen ever will!
