Looking at the area where the dead tree once was. Notice all the stumps, left over from buckthorn and other overgrown trees and shrubs here. Behind the stumps, to the left of the photo, there used to be a hideous cement brick wall. I never could figure out what its purpose was. I had 1-800-GOT-JUNK come and remove that as well as a lot of of other leftover brush and trash from my work back in this area. It was a lot more work than initially it looked like it would be, and they did a great job for a reasonable price. Notice the one post standing in the middle of all this dirt. There were two posts here, probably for telephone or electrical wire. I cut one down and left the other one standing so the bluebirds I hope to attract will have somewhere to perch.
