The owl is now in the care of one of the best raptor facilities in the country, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center. Hopefully it can be rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

Unfortunately I found out a few days later that they had euthanized the owl. Turns out that it had severe eye lesions which meant permanent blindness. I'm left to assume that keeping it captivity wouldn't have been an option.
