Great image, especially in B&W.

Now that's my kind of shot. Superb character image. Well done indeed.

Great portrait and so much more powerful in B&W. What a character.

Fabulous capture. This fellow is so interesting with all his character lines. To me he has an 'old man and the sea' look about him. It's fun to read people's colour vs black and white preferences. For my part I believe that b&w emphasises the character references of his interesting grizzled face. In other words, with a shot like this you are apt to be distracted by the colourful background (vivis yellow).

Looks like he's been there, came back and lived to tell the tale.

It's a splendid character and he needed to be photographed indeed, but I disagree with
Geoff, I'm afraid. I like B.& W. for portraits, but in this case the colour version is much more appealing to me. Mostly because of the warm sunny colours, the background impact, nearly an abstract painting framing the main subject.
This man is fantastic, he reminds me of Popeye!
Both versions are good, of course. I have simple expressed my personal taste.

Yes, you can't refuse people like this! Very well caught. Sometimes you wish such photogenic people could stand in front of a nice plain background!
