You find places you want to visit in the strangest ways sometimes. Was playing on Google Earth and spotted this weird volcanic plinth with a church on top and that's how I discovered Le Puy-en-Valley. It was also the start of a pattern for this trip. Almost everything I wanted to see was at the top of a steep hill, and the weather was stinking hot! I have to say it was worth every drop of sweat and aching muscle though.
