Seiurus motacilla. This species is an uncommon breeder in eastern Massachusetts and one of the first neotropical migrants to head south. Most leave the state in July and they are considered rare by August. This bird, found by Donald Wilkinson, was in the Boston Public Garden from October 1-4, 2002, setting a new record for the latest date this species has been seen in Massachusetts.
