Chen canagica. This adult Emperor Goose was found by Paul Donahue on the Sharp Park Golf Course in Pacifica, San Mateo County, on 23 January, where it remained to at least the end of the month. This species breeds in western Alaska and eastern Siberia, normally winters in the Aleutians, and is a rare visitor to California.
