Some misc. old photos of the Rock Island. I grew up 7 miles from the Rock Island mainline to Kansas City and spent many days watching Rock trains chug by. I also watch the slow decay and death of the Rock in its final days. :( Unfortunately I have few photos of the Rock Island, but I do have plenty of memories.

A couple of the below photographs were taken by my brother John Sharp. I was standing next to him when he snapped both photos and I do have permission to use them for this small gallery.
